This was what I found on the way to school. The sculpture attracted me in the beginning, then I found a little ant was climbing on it. This reminded me the movie I have watched from Japan Cuts this summer: Mori, The Artist’s Habitat. This was about an artist who stayed in his garden in the last 30 years of his life. He was exploring his garden everyday, and he was observing insects and fishing next to a small pond. He saw the details of insects’ life, and he found it’s very interesting.
I thought it was a spider in the beginning, but then I found it’s an ant. It was “walking” all over the sculpture, and it was gone after a wind blow over the sculpture. I was feeling sad because the weakness of life. I feel human is no difference with that little ant, just breeze can kill the ant, storm can take people’s life away.
